In our "guest" quarters, Karen and I spent the night together. |

We went through many tests, I tried to help with some ;-) I'm trying to draw blood from her neck. hehe |

Our mother was close by during every phase. |

Our parents stayed at a motel close to the hospital. |

The nurse's board in our rooms turned into after-surgery welcome signs. |

Richard, my husband, had a double kidney with a cupid's arrow through them at the top of the board. |

Our coordinator brought up her laptop. We had to check our email!!! LOL |

Karen had IV's in her neck. Mine was in my hand. Karen wore a mask on the first day after surgery visiting me. |

Well wishers sent gifts. Karen couldn't have flowers in her room, so everything was in mine. She had to visit her flowers. |
